Top Dance Shows: February 2026

Michael Keegan-Dolan's MÁM © David Gray

Not sure what dance to watch this February? With at least 30 dance shows touring the UK this month, let me help you to decide with my top three picks. Expect Britain’s Got Talent legends and an iconic classical ballet.

1. MÁM

3 Feburary—4 March / Tour

Contemporary Dance Theatre

Expect the unexpected when it comes to the work of Michael Keegan-Dolan. Always surprising, sometimes musical and just a little bit uncanny. Following his split from Sadler’s Wells last year, the rest of England are now able to enjoy his wild choreography as he embarks on a one-month tour of Olivier Award-nominated MÁM. Inspired by West Kerry, Ireland, it is part-ceilidh, part-gig, part-dance show. It features live performances from concertina player Cormac Begley and classical contemporary collective s t a r g a z e.

2. Giselle

14 Feb—20 March / Royal Opera House [also in cinemas]

A ballet classic

Giselle is one of the major works of the classical ballet repertory and unmissable if you are exploring the ballet canon. It is about a young peasant woman who falls in love with a man called Albrecht. Unbeknownst to her, he is actually royalty and engaged to another. Dying from heartbreak, she joins the ranks of the Wilis, ghostly women who died before their wedding day. They go around taking revenge on men who cross their path. When Albrecht comes across them, will Giselle save him or have her revenge?

The Royal Ballet’s version is arguably the best you can see in the UK. Look out for Giselle hopping across the stage on one leg (on pointe no less!), the famous ‘mad scene’ at the end of Act 1, and Albrecht’s many consecutive jumps during Act 2.

3. SOUL

11 Feburary—10 May / Tour

Britain’s Got Talent legends

There are few dance acts who have had the longevity of commercial success this century like Diversity. The Britain’s Got Talent 2009 winners are out to embark on a 60 date tour across the country, with choreography exploring AI and what it means to be human in a digital age.
